Priscilla’s Bolognese Beef Fusilli

Today we have ‘baked’ Priscilla’s Bolognese Beef Fusilli to school! Everything dump in a baking dish and let it bake! 🙈🙈🙈 Oh man, love this method and just need to think of ways how to use this around my daily meals 😍 Pasta is always a win-win with the big kids as the youngest still prefer Fried rice a lot. Or anything rice. 😅

I call it Priscilla’s cos I added milk to the tomato pasta sauce as the kids dont like it too tangy and the milk will sweeten the sauce slightly. Stirring in a bit of parmesan at the ending will add some flavours to the pasta too! The beef bites will get the kids happy as they love beef!

Easy fuss free method, only washing 1 dish after the cooking. Loving this! Gonna try more creation with this style of pasta cooking ❤️

Kids’ meal to school for today! Ease my work so much.

Priscilla’s Bolognese Beef Fusilli
1/2cup fusilli
1/2cup pasta sauce
1mini beef patty, tear into pieces
milk, pour enough to submerge the fusilli
grated parmesan

1) Prepare baking dish and pour fusilli in it. (Dont overfill and yes I overfill slightly. Jus enough to fill the base of dish with minimim overlap)
2) Tear beef patty on fusilli. Pour in pasta sauce then follow by milk enough to cover the fusilli and give it a gentle stir to make sure all is covered in milk
3) Bake 180deg x 23mins (I extended another 8mins after the first 15mins as it is not fully cooked yet)
4) Give it a stir and top with more milk and add in grated parmesan cheese. Mix it well and add more milk if needed. Sprinkle some parmesan on top and bake another 5mins.
Serve warm and sprinkle some parsley flakes and chilli powder if you like ❤️

Jus serving this as carbs for the kids along with grill steak and salad. Simple dinner for everyone. Gonna keep this post short and share this wonderful recipe here 😉

Grated parmesan
Parsley flakes
Some salt to taste, optional

2) Pour milk to cover the top of fusilli. Sprinkle mozerella cheese to cover the top and bake at 160deg x30mins.
3) Halfway baking (after 15mins) stir thru fusilli and continue baking at 140deg.
4) Stir in grated parmesan and parsley flakes once it is ready. Serve with choice of sides ❤️

Bacon Risotto (Pressure Cook)

Always wanted to try Risotto but as I had to cook them over stove top, I wasnt that confident. And since now I had Ninja, which I can make use of the pressure cook function so I thought I would try it once and see how it goes with the kids!

Its quite straightforward and fast as only need to dump in to saute the bacon then add in rice to toast before i add in water and send it for sauna. All in total took me about 20minutes max from start to end. And kids get a flask of risotto for school. Shall see how it goes with my fussy gal at the end of school and update. (Oh and it may dry out as u continue to keep it warm in the thermos, I actually let it cool slightly before closing the lid.)

Attached a simple video of the cooking process ❤️

1 cup bacon, strips
3cloves garlic
1Tbsp butter
3cup water

Meatball Marinara Fusilli

Almost mid week and what to cook in the mornings for the kids to school that is fuss free! Then came to me that I have been wanting to do pressure cook pasta. Yay! So dig thru my freezer and found meatballs. Meatballs marinara it shall be! Best is I can cook a batch so that youngest can have it for lunch when he is home. (cos mummy went on breakfast dates with friends 🙈)

Really simply throw everything in, just set to pressure cook and I went ahead with what I am busy with usually! Loving my Ninjafoodi day by day with all the little wonder it can do for me!

Mummies or Daddies, please do give this a try if you are rushing for time every morning preparing lunchboxes. All it took was about 15mins from the start to end. Meatballs and pasta can never go wrong. 😍

Meatball Marinara Fusilli
150g Fusilli
200ml Pasta sauce
170ml Cream
170ml Milk
170ml diced tomatoes
10-12 Meatballs

Grated parmesan and parsley flakes to stir in

1) Dump everything into pot and give a gentle stir. Pressure cook mode Hi x 2mins (Recommended cooking time is 8mins for this fusilli)
*Using recommended time on packaging, lowest even number (eg if its 5, take 4) and divide by 2. Then minus 2 more minutes. Thats the time to pressure cook*
2) Natural release for 5mins and quick release if still have pressure. Stir and mix well.
3) Add in grated parmesan and parsley flakes then give it a quick stir. Serve warm ❤️

Bacon Shrimp Creamy Pasta

On a lazy day, you just have to combine 2 meals into 1. Tea break and dinner 🙊🙊 I have been craving for Baked Bacon shrimps and thought of wrapping more since I am going to bake them so I can have more to go along with the Creamy pasta for dinner 😅 (And mummy need to use up leftover ingredients from the pizza making too)

Made a batch for tea and I love how the saltiness of the bacon complete the crunchy and seafood sweetness from the shrimp! Combination was lovely and so yummy dipping in wasbi mayonaise!

Each batch took 10mins to bake. 1 batch for tea and 1 batch for dinner. 😍😍

I blanch the pasta and set them aside. Using the Ninja pot again during dinner to cook the pasta and ready in 10mins or so. Yums! The creamy sauce complement the bacon shrimp too! Help to balance off the creaminess.. I love to sprinkle mine with more chilli flakes. 😍😍

I used my favourite ingredients - shimeiji mushroom, scallops & prawns! Glad with my decision and really love this pasta today! The kids was stored in their thermos to keep warm til they come back from school, they said that it taste a bit like Mac & Cheese yet not overly cheesy! I think its frm the stirring in of shredded mozarella & cheddar at the end! It flavour up the dish!

Here you go, my lunch with CP Honey wings!

Cream Sauce Pasta
Enough Pasta for 4 adults
200ml Fresh Milk
3Tbsp Shredded Mozarella & Cheddar
6-7 Prawns
5-6 Scallops
1pkt Shimeiji Mushroom
1/2 Onion

1) Sautee onion til soft. Add in mushroom and stir til water comes out. Let it simmer a while.
2) Add prawns and scallops and fry til cooked.
3) Add milk and bring to boil then throw in pasta.
4) Mix the pasta well with the sauce. Then stir in shredded mozarella & cheddar.
5) Sprinkle chopped parsley and serve warm!

Tom Yam Stir Fry Fusilli

While grocery shopping last night, I casually asked Hub if he has any cravings for this week. He immediately saw "FUSILLI" and told me he want the same spicy Stir Fry Fusilli from Black Canyon Cafe. Haha~

I told him OK! Will cook for him tonight. And there I used the Tom Yam Sachet I got from Bangkok in February and used 1/2pkt to season, added some fish sauce and chopped chilli padi too.

End result, Hubby raved about it. Saying how delicious and nicer aa compared to Black Canyon blah blah. I think I can open a restaurant soon.

This is the one from Black Canyon Coffee.

Tom Yam Stir Fry Fusilli (Serves 2 small eater)
Cooked Fusilli (approx 1 soup bowl)
6 Prawns
100g Sliced Pork, marinate with Sesame Oil, Pepper, Lt Sauce & Hua Tiao
Brocolli, cut into small pieces
1/2 pkt Tom Yam Seasoning Sachet
Bit of Fish Sauce to taste
Chopped chilli padi

1) Cook Fusilli til al dente. Drained and leave aside.
2) Sautee chopped garlic. Add pork, brocolli & prawns. Fry til 70% cooked. Add in 1/2 cup water, tom yam powder and stir well.
3) Add a bit of fish sauce and taste.
4) Add in fusilli, stir well. Add in chilli padi and stir. Serve warm.

**Add water bit by bit should it dry up as you stir fry.

Baked Mixed Herbs Chix

Lately haven been getting a lot of 'juice' for dinner so tonite I decided to do something western for a change. Minus all the frying, I just baked the Chix and fix up the pasta sauce..

I wanna mimic the same wrapped Pasta that I had few weeks ago. I liked how the sauce embrace each strands of spaghetti that makes it so flavourful. Even my grandma who don't fancy 'and moh' food says this pasta is not bad and not so tough too.. (Oh, she always feels that the spaghetti is too 'under-cooked' so she was very pleased with this)

I am using Prego sauce for a quick fix, added fish slices and some prawns for ingredients. Topping off with a dash of Italian herbs for the sauce. Tonite, I don't have problem feeding them, finished both bowls in less than 15mins.

I take 1 portion sphagetti, scoop gravy and ingredients over. Put a little grated Parmesan and bake for 10mins. Stir well and serve warm. Yummy..

I marinate my Chix drumsticks with parsley, thyme, garlic, lemon jucie and pepper. I added a few slice of fish beside, chopped boiled carrots and baked at 200deg for 30-40mins til chicken is cooked. And dinner is served.

Baked Mixed Herbs Chix
5 Drumsticks
1 Carrot, chopped and boiled
1 Fish Fillet, Sliced into 4 pieces
2tsp Parsely, Thyme & Garlic powder
Dash of Pepper
1tsp Lemon Juice

1) Marinate the drumsticks with above herbs, perferably overnight.
2) Chopped carrots, boiled and add to marinated chix and fish.
3) Baked at 200deg for 30-40mins til cooked.

Lazy Sunday Lunch - Cream Sauce Pasta

Had a fulfilling saturday as I went for Coffee early with my hubby and little ones and also with Grandma, grab a pressie for Hubby's fren and I got a cheap buy for a Cardigan at $9.95 and a sleeveless top for $10. Hahaha.. Then came back home, made1 normal Strawberry Swiss Roll and 2 small Nutella Swiss Roll. Final verdict, Strawberry still the best for Hubby's taste bud and Nutella taste alright to me. And I have been having the 'deco' frenzy and experimenting with all different designs. And yes, I got myself a new colour - BLUE (i already have PINK, YELLOW, GREEN). Here are some of the pics..

As for sunday, with hubby need to catch up on some work stuff, so no eating out hence more time for him to finish up his work. If early, maybe can be lazy and go out for some dinner and replenish for home groceries. =)
Then i remembered that I have bought the Cooking Cream about a week back and haven got chance to cook as my Grandma doesnt eat creamy food. So since she went for a 'stay-ca-tion' at my sis place so why not? So there I go, went to see what I have in the fridge. And lucky me, I got some white mushrooms, ham and scallops. Ok, I admit, scallops for me and maybe for my little ones. Not so much for hubby as he is not really a seafood person. But I am short of Parmesan Cheese which I have been wanting to buy but seems like NTUC don't carry them anymore.
I have gotten the recipe from this blogger and have been 'bookmarking' it for the longest time and haven gotten to it. Now, I am sharing this yummy recipe and i believe the next attempt with Parmesan Cheese will be even better.

So after lunch, i am trying out another Bread Recipe from my FB Kakis again. A new method that I haven got the courage to try before - Tang Zhong Method. I hope it wont fail me and I can share with you all here too.. Happy Weekend!!!
